This week of work has been rather inconsistent in terms of time taken for me to complete the day. Yesterday had me done at 930AM and today had me end at 1030AM, and the latter time is accounting for my last stop not being part of the route as usual for Saturdays. One day, my first and heaviest stop will have a few dozen pieces, and then today it will have closer to a gross in quantity. One day, the time taken to handle that first stop is forty minutes, and today it was one hundred and forty minutes. I guess this is a way of saying things could be worse, as I didn't succumb to any kind of breakdowns or injuries in the meantime.

One thing I should mention here is a strange experience which I have with my third stop of the work route. The car dealership is adjacent to a small strip of forest preserve (thin enough that the lights to the dealership can be seen from the street which demarcates the other border), and despite it being surrounded by urban development, there's still plenty of wild animals to be seen and heard during the early morning hours when I'm around there. It's pretty surreal to be there doing paperwork in the parts room while hearing coyote calls echo a few dozen yards away.

I was able to actually get a small bit of tax work done (as opposed to "no work done") through the week as well, and I personally felt much better for having done so. I just need to keep my focus on doing that while I can.

There was no arcade visit last weekend due to my feeling ever so slightly sick and the potential for bad weather, so I elected to sleep as much as I could in the meantime. This weekend, with the threat of even worse weather looming on the horizon, I decided to go directly to the arcade from work today rather than wait for Sunday night. The change seems to have been a good call. I was able to have three hours of uninterrupted play on the machine, which is basically as much time as I had on the nightly trips, and now I have already returned with that being done and the rest of the weekend available. Overall, the session was better this time than the last visit, but I still can't get any kind of consistent feel for timing and I still do not have as good of success in clearing charts on the machine than I do here at home. On that subject, this week's home sessions continue to generally be very good. Particularly surprising was the streak of ten new score entries which I had yesterday, and just as surprising was to see the streak by broken by Ska a Go Go of all things. Meanwhile, I'm quite pleased to see many of the new records having much better miss counts.
