It has come to my attention that there are two car dealerships on my route which both have the 70's Sirius XM station played on the public speaker system over the entire outdoor lot. This might be cognitive ignorance on my part, but it honestly seems like 70's era music doesn't have the same nostalgic romantic response to it the same way as I see music for the 60's and 80's at least (and I think there's at least some subgenres of general 90's music which already has this kind of treatment as well), but 70's music seems to simply be neglected as a collective. What I hear in common for a lot of these songs are upbeat and peppy bass rhythms, sharp understated percussion, smooth vocals, and harmonizing strings - I find these elements to combine quite nicely overall, from one song to the next. Is this a case where everything released in the decade that isn't decidedly guitar rock is lumped together as "disco" and subsequently discarded? Perhaps so.

Skipping out on doing the preload process at work has indeed helped my mental and physical health this week. While I indeed have had a few situations come about where I had to bring pieces back home because, due to how they were loaded in places I didn't expect to find them, I wasn't able to deliver them - but as to be generally expected by this job, I haven't had such a quantity of problems that it has caused anyone to sit me down at the end of a day and try to talk about how I'm doing the job with an implication of what could be improved. I'm not doing it poorly enough to receive special notice, so as long as that's the case I'll just slug on one day to the next and let the paychecks deposit.

Meanwhile, E3 came and went, and I really didn't see a single moment of it. A Stanley Cup Final came and went, and I didn't see a single moment of it. Lots of hearsay on here and elsewhere, and that's all I have to go on. I'm glad to see The Last Guardian come back into the light, and I'm hoping that No Man's Sky might be a game to pull my mother in law away from monthly-fee MMORPGs for a month or two at least.
