I suppose the main theme to this week of work is "transition". One of the stops which was removed from my route was silently returned to me at the start of this week, and the reason for that is because the parts plant is dragging its heels on getting the stop transferred from one shuttle to another. On that Monday, it was a heavier amount than normal and the stop added an hour to my day. It appears that under normal circumstances, the additional stop will add no more than a half hour to the day. The other major change still rolling out is that all outbound shipments must be scanned upon time of delivery, as opposed to doing such for only one company at present. The loophole being allowed is that all pieces of a given stop can be scanned into a collective bar code during the loading process, so that single bar code is all which needs to be scanned at delivery rather than each individual piece. I took the time to set this up today, and for whatever reason, not only did the scans which I set up not appear, but the scans which normally should appear for the other stops were absent as well. The effort wasn't all in naught, though, as I was mainly interested in doing the preload scan process to see how long it would take to do it. With two people scanning everything, it only takes a few minutes. Net result, the upcoming change is something that I know now I don't have to worry about impacting me too severely.

The warm weather has been wreaking havoc on my allergies, and most of my days I feel very drained and I have to endure long stretches of sneezing and nasal grossness. Summer's last hurrah. It doesn't help that I have to spend a lot of my time driving near farms which are in the middle of harvesting everything now, so that means a lot more dust is in the air than normal too.

Beatmania IIDX Infinitas is going to be a thing, eh? How nice. Within one week of this and Cave's games coming to Steam, my future of playing things on a PC (which was already pretty considerable given my song sessions here) has grown considerably. Welcome to 2008, Japan. Glad you're here.

Home song sessions were OK - if anything, the relative higher fluctuation to be found both upward and downward is pretty reflective of my physical sentiment for this week. Today's felt good too. Meanwhile, I can definitely perceive a difference in the way the keys respond on an arcade machine compared to my table, now. I might have to look into getting new and softer springs put into it.
