Politics depresses me. TPP depresses me. In the course of this week, the choice has been presented so starkly to me that I loathe to even bring it up - be ignorant or be suicidal. Really, what's worse? Knowing precisely how bad things are going to get and how helpless most of us are to do anything about it, or turning a blind eye to it all just to have the head filled with chatter about topics which are even more pointless to discuss. The choices for discussion on radio are politics, movie/TV bullshit, or sports. If only silence was a viable option.

Anyway.

This week of work has inspired me to purchase a twelve pack of Soylent. There were two days which lasted so long that I was home at 130PM, which leaves me a half hour of my day that doesn't involve basic human functions or work. In order to not spend that half hour on eating something at a table as a proper adult does, I succumbed to getting some McDonald's food each day. Ten nuggets and medium fries (and no drink) seems like it should be the least damaging meal to my health, but I don't want to make a further habit out of eating their food regardless. Of these two very late days, on the first of them I was stuck in a parking lot for forty minutes; long story short, the primary air hose snapped, which rendered me immobile. The next day took me just as long to complete, and that's for no reason other than the sheer volume of freight I had to handle, both outbound and taken back with me as returned material. There is a monthly cycle in which I have more returns than normal (and this is due to how the massive shell game which is GM's inventory system works), but this week was extraordinarily voluminous.

In the course of the week I believe I witnessed three falling stars streak across the night sky. One of which I had seen this evening was unmistakable, as it was very bright and had a long visible trail of dust in the wake. It looked as if someone had shot a large firework mortar a few miles away and managed to have it ascend invisibly through the air.

If posts are to be believed, this should be the last weekend for which I will be able to play Pendual at the arcade, as the upgrade to Copula is scheduled to arrive on Armistice Day. It will be interesting to see the transition. Meanwhile, home sessions were actually pretty good this week, as limited as they were. Playing non-random during the week ensures I don't have hold note conflicts, and it helps me to get more songs played in the run.
