For today's work, both of my usual loaders had called off. The load order paper which they gave to the person who handled the loading today was based on the old route structure as it was when I inherited it, and there have been many changes made from then until now. I arrived early enough to catch it while it was halfway done, so I was able to make some adjustments without undoing too much of the prior work, and volume was light enough that I was able to freely walk through the trailer throughout the day as well. Despite that, I had two engines to handle coming down as well as a cage to come back, and there were a few spots which had fifteen minutes of returns to handle, so my day still went by very slowly. Topping the session off was a scheduled physical which I needed to take in light of my current card being set to expire at the end of June. I had it scheduled to occur at 100PM and I didn't get there until 145PM. Thankfully, there was only one other person in the facility to be served, so I was able to get it taken care of with relative expedience.

Having time for reading was nice, but after I'm done with Star Ocean 5 I think I need to do a long overdue update to the tax code page. Despite it having been many months since the last time I checked, I can't imagine there having been many new additions and alterations made by Congress since then. I wonder if that recent executive action in respect of corporate inversion has any way of making alteration to the Code. I don't think it should, based on how the Code is otherwise altered, but I should make a point to find out once I get back into that undertaking.

Rather than depend on energy drinks on the way to the arcade and visit a 7-Eleven on the way back, I've been bringing my own food on the trips, and I think it's proven to be a wise choice. It's a nice luxury that I could have Steak 'N Shake or McDonalds at the early hours if I really wanted to, but I'd rather not develop that habit. I also grew tired of spending a few dollars on cookies and seltzer water at the store. The usual work snack I carry is Frosted Mini Wheats, and for these trips I've tried out Grape Nuts. I figure cereal should serve the purpose of being filling as well as not being salty, which would in turn bring on higher thirst. As it turns out, I find the taste and extreme crunchiness of Grape Nuts agreeable, and one portion of the cereal lasts quite a while. I'm sure that if I took the time to look up comparative nutritional data, I would find cereal to be a poor choice as a snack, but I think it's still certainly better than cookies and the like.

On the subject of arcade trips, the last one felt very good. Passed Ganymede and a few other 11s that I had failed previously, and the session simply felt good overall. Home sessions have been acceptable here, but today was pretty lousy. I think I just simply started things up too late and had too long of a day to really keep energy sustained until this point of time.
