Work was too long this week, ends on a hot weather note, I signed a false name on a petition for us all to be paid more (which had no specific reason behind the demand), I'll finish this post after going to see the new dumb video game movie with my wife because we rarely do anything together lately, and I have some D3 bullshit to tend to after all of the aforementioned. Oh and some guy was rude to me on another board. Who am I? No idea, man. You got me.

Well now that I'm back from seeing Warcraft, I think I can say this might be the best video game movie that has been made so far? I guess? Silent Hill didn't really seem too great to me, but that was several years ago so perhaps I'm forgetting its good qualities at the moment. Still, I know nothing of the Warcraft storyline so I came into it without having any kind of expectations, and I grant it may be possible that this mindset could have helped me not dislike it. It doesn't feel like it drags on too longly at any point and the battle sequences felt very solid without a lot of too-quick camera transitions to muddle the action. The hexgrid table top planning bits seemed dumb, as did the forced sexual tension between the not-orc and main-guy, but the latter of these are to be expected in any movie of this kind now.

Home sessions weren't too bad this week. There were a few sad plays and I had to miss one day outright due to work being so long, but today's session in particular got to a good roll after a few songs. I'm curious to see if a recent purchase will help with my arcade sessions. If it doesn't, I might have to resort to other measures.
