8:18 PM 9/12/2011All songs are Double play charts, using Random key modifier, and have a rating of at least 12. Songs in the courses are selected at random. For most songs which have multiple 12 ratings, I modify it so that the highest type of chart (Black or Another) is the only 12; that way I play the hardest version of the song and ensure I don't play it twice in the same course.
Courses are played with the 100% Gauge. Yes, this is glorified practice.
Scores are given as: EX; J Great, Great, Good, Bad, Poor, Max Combo, Letter Rating

biometrics warrior, marine snow, calls, pure boys, evans
Warrior is bad enough normal, so starting the day with that isn't too easy. Didn't have a good roll with snow. Calls came up better except for the ending - lot more flailing on it. Pure Boys I haven't played for a while and didn't quite remember what the song was until after the middle break. After that it becomes this gigantic shitfest of chord mashing, something quasar like, while this riff which rips off Beethoven's 9th plays over it. Terrible second half to a song. Evans almost brought me back, but not far enough.

DXY!, yakumo joint struggle, mendes, almagest, gobble
Got KOed by the yoshitaka one-two. The first two songs didn't help matters, either. Random won't help DXY! and yakumo is a 185 BPM gabber fest with a lot of scratch talking. Gobble to seal the deal puts me worse this course than the last. Fabulous. At least I didn't get Mendes B14.

tricks, summer vacation, scream squad, graduating traveler, state of the art
Most of the time, the transition to summer vacation takes a long time, but thankfully it didn't here. Tricks isn't too bad of a song and the chart gives you all the permutations of the melody at the end to build up a good climax. Scream Squad went well - maybe all the plays of the Mad Izm charts help out there. Lots of switch scratching. Graduating Traveler is a pretty light sounding song, and I'm glad there isn't some annoying Japanese singing on top of it. State of the Art didn't go so well, and I still feel like I should do better at it.

Third song was almagest. Fuck you.

together (radio mix), perditus†paradisus, stoic, bad maniacs, gigapluto
Well, shit. Got out of together with I think about a 63% or something, then perditus hits - I'm taken down to a 48%. That song is well beyond most of the other official DP IIDX charts. It starts out with hold note stuff and then makes up for it by having the last 3/4ths of the song have incessant scaling. Any hope I had of getting back to a B after stoic was dashed with the last two. Gigapluto is the only chart I have which has bomb notes or something - they show as red dashes and display as POOR on the judgement display even when you do not play them (which you're supposed to do, since hitting them flatlines your gauge). The song is rated as a 89 on the display. I guess it's a joke. I wouldn't put it that much farther past perditus.

ghost revival, zodiac, pentagram, marine snow, oratio
The first and last song of this are arguably 11s (oratio more so than ghost revival) but oratio hasn't been downgraded yet, so it stays for now. Nice ominous combo of zodiac and petagram. Had a better roll with marine snow. Not too bad overall, at least not so sloppy.
Pretty OK day overall. Nothing too terrible or great.
