I tried to delete the post to have it automatically go up at 1159PM so that it would be entered on the day, but then I guess it didn't go up and stayed deleted? Never tried that before, so I guess I know what to do now. Anyway.

Today's word of the day is "anmitsu". This term refers to a type of key mash where the player presses the hand down on a set of notes in an off-level manner, so to bring one finger down before the other. This is done repeatedly over long stretches of note trills so that you can get not-poors on the string and come out of it relatively intact, even if you're not timing the individual keys to the best possible hit. The first three songs feature specific strings of measures where it's easiest (laziest?) to simply pound the hand rather than try to hit the drum rolls with individual key strokes, particularly for something like Caudaemorducus there, which has the rolls for at least half of the song. Cutexecute is still very painful and I only finished at at 40% D, so I'm glad to have pulled my way back up through the rest of the set. Guess I could have played this worse overall.

Went into Distorted yesterday with Extra Mode, so we shall pick up with some nice hot messes right from the start.

Oh, so I was disappointed with how I played yesterday? Yeah, I should have waited a day on that. What I find interesting is that this is my second time through playing everything with Random and basically each song here where I didn't get a new EX increase I didn't do so the first time, and the first two of the four songs I played here where I did have EX increases, I had also done so on my first Random run. Still, despite the lack of increases there weren't very many which weren't totally off the mark.
