So very tired, again. Always on the weekends.

Everything old is old again.

9055; 3188 2679 810 275 701 Combo 169 A -699

starmine, leathal weapon, caudaemorducus, canon blazing summer mix, 4bidden area

Rather boring course in considering how often these songs come up - other than Leathal Weapon, at least. Very easy Random with Starmine helped me be able to combo out the majority of the song, at least the latter half of it. Lethal Weapon's main issue are the sixteenth scale runs which weren't particularly bad here. I'm very tired of rolling out Caudaemorducus and might have to relegate it to instant-flush status for a while. I should do the same for Canon considering how easy that chart is no matter what Random does to it. My left arm has been sore through most of the day and I felt rather drained by the time 4bidden came around, which is a shame because that's yet another chart which doesn't have a lot of really bad parts to it other than some terrible scratch chords that can come around when randomized. End score isn't bad but should be expected from a set like this.

BOF06 and EX Mode. Hopefully I remember to write out the grades each time, which I'm not used to doing with new entries.

I think what these sessions are helping me come to realize is that there always has been something about the fanmade songs which seemed like they weren't so well made as the sim files from the official IIDX games, and I think this is showing me why. Where the IIDX songs feature background tracks which have more content automatically played, there's less chance for it to be played at fractionally segregated times and feels more cohesive. In comparison, damn near everything in these songs are mapped to some sort of disconnected sound, which means that there is more reliance on the player and the program to ensure that everything is played at the exact correct time. I think the amateurs could stand to learn a lesson in exerting effort to make a point to have the BGM carry some parts of the song rather than fundamentally none of it. Well, that's if they consider making palatable music to begin with, which in some cases seems to also elude their understanding. That Mah-Jong song there is some of the worst garbage I've heard in a long time.
