New cartman had his first day today, but because the store has very strict rules about the all important computer training segments that people have to complete (among which are rules about sales of alcohol and tobacco, which will never apply to any of us), I didn't get a chance to work with him at all. The next day I'm scheduled is Saturday. I'm fearing that by the time I return, he'll have picked up bad habits or otherwise already be worn down to the point of uselessness. As it stands he's already unavailable for Sundays, so one of the most pressing schedule issues still remains unresolved despite his being hired. I'm not happy about all of this but ultimately it's a gutter job in which my only responsibility is to show up and work and leave, so all I can expect is for things to remain the same and try to be pleasantly surprised if anything shows improvement. In other news, I tried out making a batch of brownies with a few handfuls of M&Ms tossed onto the top. The resultant color melting from the shells is what I expected. I can't say it helped the flavor of the brownies, though.

I'll finish off RA with the kana titles tomorrow. Sakura Storm is the first IIDX song I encountered which has an error that the song never actually stops - it will get to the end and no more notes will come, but the chart keeps on scrolling as if there's still more on the way. I let it roll for two minutes just to see if it would ever terminate, with no such luck. As a result, I couldn't record any score (which was miserable for that particular chart, regardless). Watch Out Part 2 is such a gigantic mess in Extra - all of the scratches remain and the notes added with them means that you basically miss the scratches if you try to play the notes, and miss the notes if you try for the scratches. I don't recall The Black Knight being so painful.
