Our house is situated near a maple tree which releases those whirlygig seedlings that get caught in the gutters. I have to go up and clean it out every so often, particularly this time since some of the seeds seemed to have taken to sprout and stalks of green were visible from the edge of the roof. I take the ladder to go up there today, and I notice that there's a shingle missing from the edge of the roof, as if something took a bite out of the surface. I noticed that some wasps were flying around the area as well and going under the roof. The gutter which hangs on this side of the house has been loose from the fitting for some time, so there's always been a crack between the gutter and the roof, so we've been rather fortunate to not have more problems like this before, but I was surprised that there was such a gaping hole in the roof. It honestly wasn't visible from the sidewalk or any vantage on the ground, so I wouldn't have noticed it had I not gone up there. I purchased a package of shingles and some wasp spray and took care of it - thankfully, I seem to have gotten there before a nest was built so my spray didn't cause an angry swarm to rise from under the roof. Meanwhile, there's a battery backup system for our sump pump in the basement, and when it takes a charge it usually does so very quickly and makes an audible noise like a fan. Today, this noise has been running nonstop since I woke up and began my day, so that's at least eight hours. Tomorrow I get to call around to see who I can find to replace this battery, and at what cost. Also meanwhile, my IRS software developer contacts are still not responding to my calls and emails. I'll have to take more action on that tomorrow as well.

Extra Mode.

In the interest of having more variety in what pops up in normal sessions, and since I will want to do so eventually, I think I'll start working my way through the BOF sets and other fanmade songs and play whatever happens to actually load.

It seems like I can play around half of the songs which I have available in the roster, which is better than nothing. As before, there seems to be some kind of cut-off where songs will tend to get a higher note count here than in LR2 if their original note count is low, but the reverse applies if the original note count is near the 2000 range. Some of these songs, and only the fan songs, give an error in playing where the first keysounds are repeatedly constantly over the entire duration of the song. I'm hoping there'll be a way to identify this error in the future so that it can be eliminated eventually. Nothing entirely unexpected comes with the songs yet; lots of pain and failing to be found here and not much else.
