Another Saturday and another new helper sent out into the wilderness that is our store's parking lot. So here's what I don't get. The woman they send out to help is a thirtyish year old mother who is dressed for her normal workday, meaning no gloves and flat fashionable shoes. In this case, I always do the task of leading the line of carts and have the helper just use the machine; this makes me be the guy to dance around everything and guide it all around, while the helper just has to keep the machine straight and twist the handlebar to make it move. Handling the machine is not easy, as it takes some arm strength and finesse to keep in line at the proper speeds so that it doesn't run into things and get caught. It's simple to use but not brainless. The carts, meanwhile, are out in the sun, are only as clean as the customers leave them (which is usually - not clean at all), and have jagged edges which dig into the skin if you drag them around barehanded. This is why I use gloves and this is why I want the new help to not do that task. At best, it strains the hands and is unpleasant continuously do. The point in my saying this all is that I do all of this and we have a system that I think works out well within minutes, and after a few trips we're running as if I'm with any other coworker. The only coworker scheduled with me then returns from his lunch, and I leave him to work with her while I tend to other corrals. I leave, turn my back within a minute, and already they have the order reversed and the guy is using the machine while she has to lead the lines. I don't get it. I just don't get it.

I'm glad that I'll never have to play Chere Princesse again. I didn't bother to see if Cutexecute would load, but at the current success rate, it's probable that it wouldn't have even if I tried. Kaiden Aura did in fact load, but LB currently doesn't read full stops correctly, so the song is ruined for now. I definitely needed more time to warmup today than compared to the previous few days.
