Games. My copy of Akai Katana has come in, and I've clocked some sixteen hours into Diablo 3 since last Wednesday, which is abnormal for what I usually have done for the last year or two. It's definitely an unsustainable lifestyle for me at this point. Often times I find myself believing that I was born exactly at the right moment in the grand arc of American history, or global history, as I overall am young enough to not be intimidated by technology but old enough to recall how life was without its total permeation. The last few days just feel like they have flown by without anything of remote importance or significance, despite there being all sorts of screens and statistics I've kept here and otherwise which intend to convey just the opposite. I think burnout is approaching and I'm more appreciative of what I have done with areas like my tax form development in its stead. I enjoy IIDX because I generally enjoy music and challenge, and the game provides a good sensation of making music and definitely gives the challenge. My hour of playing stuff while on a treadmill is more of a manner of convenience. Maybe I'll become less introspective once I start playing some D3 with coworkers and hitting the sauce, which is something that I can more justifiably do today. Oh, speaking of work, cart machine ran out of juice halfway into shift, had to work manually most of the day, pain and suffering, blah blah.

Amazing that I can actually play a fair amount of songs within an hour when a majority of them actually properly load. Also amazing that many of the songs within this subset are truthfully decent if not good. A Flower Garden is still dopey and annoying, but it's as such without vocals and has some diversity to it, so I can't rank it amongst the worst that I've played. Nothing felt remotely possible, though.
