As much as I enjoy this game it's time I moved on. I'll likely head back to it when some significant DLC hits but until then I've got other games I need to play and write about.
So for the time being this will be the last update.
Before I go any further though. Has this E3 sucked or what? Yeah totally unrelated but man it's depressing. Some of the products being announced sound completely ridiculous like Microsoft's SmartGlass garbage and Sony's hopelessly useless Wonderbook. We're way too deep in the information-age since it looks like we're going to need apps just to keep up with whatever TV show or book we're taking in. Pretty soon we won't be able to play videogames unless there's some stream-chat going on in a sidebar along with a constantly updating news ticker, I don't even want to know what the three screens in our controllers are going to be saying. All that happens to this excess info is that it gets dumped and immediately forgotten. Words on a page aren't going to hold any meaning when we're too unfocused to pay attention to them.
But eh well oh whatever. Let's just get on with the pictures.
Here's Jennique performing a parry neck-slice on an old man. To be fair he did deserve it. Edmund is a serious jerk and it's good to see his helpless ass get embarrassed.
Oh look it's a Beholder..or an Evil Eye as the game calls them. I never bothered to look up the difference but I guess Beholders are different because their tentacles have eyes. This dude? Just one eye. Also he's not a fan of fire, which is why he's especially unhappy when I summon meteors even while miles underground.
This is the Ur-Dragon. He's a unique creature in that he's so powerful you have to work together with multiple other players to take him down. When you fight him it seems like you do little to no damage, but chances are that several other people are fighting him at the same time. Over time this titantic foe can be taken down. Honestly it's not a very good fight since for the most part you'll feel like absolutely nothing is happening. Sure he'll torch everyone and cast devastating spells but for the most part no matter what you do isn't going to effect anything.
Decided to go with a new look for a new play-through.
Ser Mercedes doesn't look all that impressed with my antics.
What does it say about me when the only time I have men in my party I end up dressing them up like women? I wonder if main pawns stay dressed up like that. You stay at the Inn and when you wake up your closest ally is cross-dressing...hmm.
Needed an action-packed shot to remind everyone what this game is about.
This is the Corpse of the Ur-Dragon. I just popped into his lair and he had no health. Killing him was just a matter of hitting all his glowy weak-points. The rewards include some swell weapons & armor along with other goodies. Every time this boss gets defeated he is succeeded by a new Ur-Dragon that is apparently even tougher. I'm glad I got the kill even if it really doesn't feel like I earned it. The battle would be so much better if Capcom just played it straight like any other fight in the game and gave this guy a normal health meter while not relying on any online shenanigans. How does this fight even work if you're not connected to Xboxlive or PSN?

To go along with her new look, Jennique needed a new love. Aelinore has to be rescued from the Duke and doing so requires a disguise.
Due to her sheltered life this duchess requires that I carry her across gaps and away from dangers like rats & bats. One thing that really disturbs me about DD's relationship system is that some of the possible matches are WAY TOO FREAKING YOUNG! I've heard of players accidentally getting stuck with some little girl and that's just sick. This had to be some massive oversight on Capcom's part because otherwise...yikes.
Despite the Hydra making an appearance very early on in the game it's entirely possible to never actually fight one in the average play-through. Dealing with this many-scaled fiend isnt much trouble despite the fact that it can grab and swallow pawns.
See? It's all so simple. Just cut the heads off and set everything on fire. Oh and actually this is an Arch-Hydra. It's more powerful I suppose but he is cut and cooked just as easily.
