Starting at 9AM meant that I was playing catchup throughout the day.

The big surprise awaited for me at the end of the shift. I may have mentioned here that I used a U-bar bike lock, which had a key mechanism. The first one that I had purchased eventually became very resistant to accepting the key, but I noticed that the key itself got bent out of shape. I figured it was because I kept it in my front pocket while at work and resolved to get a new similar lock but keep the key off of my person while at work. The last few days I've had to struggle to get the key into the lock, and at the end of today's shift I applied enough force to break the key while it was halfway into the lock. Awesome. The walk home didn't take more than ten minutes, but now I had this annoyance to deal with. Returning to the scene and trying some needle nose pliers was futile, as there wasn't enough for me to hold onto and pull the fragment out. There were no torches available for purchase at the store. This meant that I had to resort to calling my parents to see if they had a torch to deliver. My dad did arrive on scene with a circular saw that had a special blade of some kind, and it actually made short work of the lock once we had it positioned properly to be cut. I now own a cheap cable lock that has a four digit roller on it. No more key.

I thought hat I had at least played through Prince on a Star once to get a baseline. Really. I know I hate the song, I still hate the song even now as I played it today, but I thought I had it under wraps so that it would be over with. Apparently not, though. I also managed to crash the game while playing Abstract Matter without random on, which is rather odd. Session today was pretty good otherwise.
