I received a response from the IRS about the issue I raised with the parsing of a 1120 consolidated return, and the statement was not encouraging. I say this because they essentially reaffirmed that the processing of the return mainly applies to the consolidated return itself; compounding the uselessness of the response, they list off the document count attributes which they found in the return:

Consolidated Return - 43
Parent Return - 150
Subsidiary Return 1 - 120
Subsidiary Return 2 - 110

Clearly, the return should have visibly not have shown to have that many documents within the parent and subsidiary returns. Considering that I mentioned that this was a test return of something given in their testing publication, they should also have had accepted document count values established for comparison so that they could directly see this information as being erroneous. All things considered, though, I guess this just means that the process of me getting the 1120 series tested and approved should be close at hand. All I'll need to do is process each of those returns separately to ensure they are error free independently, and then use that data in combination for the submission of the consolidated test return. In updating the 1120 form for 2012, I also came across two off-form fields, namely <IsParentReturn> and <IsSubsidiaryReturn>, which I have no entry for on any of the returns within the consolidated return that I have sent. I'll make a submission with those elements in place to see if that gives me the error responses which I had originally expected. If not, then I'll check the data separately as previously stated. I am rather disappointed that this response was so uninformed in regards to the analysis of my problem and their response to it.

Song session was very good today. Rock Me Now always gets me nervous, because it is so high tempo and has long strings of eight notes in measures, which means that it is a chart which can be relatively easy to earn a high score on as long as you have proper accuracy. Given that it was the third song to come up, I was fearing a very bad result, but thankfully that didn't come. I guess I have a CS version of Quell somewhere on the drive, because in a first for me, I had both versions come up in selection back to back. Having played the song a few days ago, I passed on playing it both times here. I remember the song パーティーのはじまりだ being rather annoying, and I think I recall making a point to not play it at the time of doing the full Extra Mode run of the BOF12 set, but I thought I had set a baseline for it some time else. Turns out I have not.
