Metropolis is just a shitty movie based off of one of Tezuka's least interesting stories. The original wasn't even good for an early Tezuka.

I also think that anime is sometimes overrated by people who say "GARH, ANIME BETTER THAN ANYTHING" and it's RIDICULOUS. I don't think it happens as much outside of college settings, but STILL.
