Yeah man, really enjoying it so far, they certainly did a lot right with this one!

And lastly, with the 4 Kings, the only thing that can be tough about the fight is that you start out fighting 1, and the longer you take, the more show up. So when you drop down into the total darkness and run around for a second, find the first king quickly and hustle over to him. Each king only has about 20% of the total health, so if you have pyromancy (and I hope you do, it makes anything you're having trouble with the easiest thing ever), just pound them with spells and they go down very fast, usually fast enough that there's only 2 on the screen at any time. And thankfully when the new ones come in to help their buddies, they start off kind of far away and move kinda slow, so you can ignore them for a bit while you concentrate on taking out the guy you've been working on. Should be a pretty manageable fight, and then it sounds like you're almost done!

Awesome thanks for that, yeah I finished Tomb Of the Giants last night, got the Skull Lantern but I also have the cast light spell, which does the same thing but gives you the light for longer and lets you have your shield equipped, so I'll just take the lantern back to Snuggly and trade it in, sweet!
For New Londo the worst part is the ghosts, and not because they're that hard, but because they are just annoying and don't drop much of value (Oooh, more transient curses?! A shitty cursed blade that's only good for killing you shitty ghosts?!?). Once you get through the initial area to where you can lower the water (2 transient curses should get you there no prob), you can take a drastic shortcut by just dropping off a ledge after the very first 2 ghosts in the level, and I doubt you'd need to be cursed again for anything you do there. Just be careful around the Darkwraiths, they go down easily enough with a good lightning weapon but they do not get staggered and have a semi-fast acting grab that I got caught by a couple times cuz I was just trying to get one more hit in.
And I'm the same way with parrying, even on enemies I've faced about a million times I almost never try it, I'm much happier to have my shield up while trekking around. I've been using the Silver Sheild you can get from those Silver Knights in Anor Londo by that farming spot I was mentioning. It has 64 stability (the highest I can recall seeing for a normal sheild), and blocks 100% of physical plus a good deal of lightning/fire damage. It's still my defacto shield for the last 15 hours or so. I haven't really found one that I want to try and upgrade yet, I'm just saving all of my stuff for weapons and possibly armor when I start a new game +.

You're the first person on here I've seen who mentioned it, so I figured I'd ask you. How do you go about getting the Ring of Fog in DS? I really hope the only way isn't with the Forest Hunters because I fucked that up shortly after joining them, I saw the forest guard was no longer attacking me but I thought it was because I was sneaking up on them and so I attacked the first one I saw, thus ending my brief 5 minutes in that covenant
As far as New Londo goes, it was a surprisingly short level, with not a whole lot going on. A couple of key items like an Ember and obviously the 4 Kings fight. The nice thing is that once you drain the water out, you can do some major titanite chunk farming from the Darkwraiths in the area without really having to fight the ghosts. With 2 humanities and the Gold Serpent ring on, they were dropping a chunk about 1 out of every 2, plus the easy 900 souls. Good for boosting your stuffs.
