Need some help for school

I have to write a paper for my Physical Geology class explaining the predominant scientific theory for the question of how life began on Earth. Precisely, my topic is this exactly: The Origin of Life: How did Life Begin?"

What I'm wondering is do any of you guys know any good or popular books or websites out there that are extensivley about this subject? The prevailing theory i'm going with is the whole theory tied into the whole evolution deal...that life began from those protiens..uh amino acid(?) deals....er...yeah that one. Once I get some basic information and references i can really get rolling and crank out th. paper in no time flat. But this is the difficult part.

My paper is due November 5th...heh...talk about waiting till last minutes eh?

this is a public school i go to, so ix-nay on the religion excuse...if i just get some references i can practially write the paper blindfolded...er...well not blindfolded but you know what i mean.
