NOTE: The arcade CPS II default level is 2, Dreamcast default level is 4. Dreamcast players may use level 2 to match the arcade defaults. Anything level 2 or above is fine.

Finally I could find the Rom and give it a few tries these two days :). Here's what I could get: Kewing, Porchka, 2006673742560 Stage 4 (I'm not sure, I think it was the floating continent one) Damned University I would play it more if I could :\

Just a little improvement:
Kewing, Carmine, 5266063449690 Stage 5. I Still have some problems with boss fights, most of of times I get killed by an unseen bullet. I'll have to practice those as well as the latter stages. Carmine's a really nice ship, by the way. Fast and powerful, I think I get better scores with this ship, although the game gets a bit tougher.

I have a score! But it sucks. I'm trying to learn too many new shooters too rapidly, I'm surprised I'm doing as well as I am, if you check across the boards... Post later.

This game has been sitting in my pile of shame for a few months now......I really need to start investing some time with Giga Wing but I'm still playing a lot of Strikers 1945, Gekioh, Mars Matrix, and Gunbird 2 so I doubt I'll get around to learning this game anytime soon.

Too many shooters too little time.

OFX, how do you get the 1up there? I know it's in the ring of gems on the right hand side. I've gotten the 1up before, but don't remember how I did it.

It has to do with the huge blue tank that appears right before the circle of gems. The FAQ at Gamefaqs says to destroy it as fast as you can, but I can assure you that doesn't work. The 1up won't be there if you blow up the tank immediately.

What I did the last time I played is dodge the first stream of bullets it fired at me, only then did I use the Reflect Barrier on the second stream to assist in blowing it to smithereens. The 1up was there.

I'll do some more experimenting later to see if it's a consistent solution.

Now I see what I might be doing wrong. I've been blowing the tank up ASAP (I'll use Reflect Force one time on it, then again once I get an OK. The 2nd use of RF takes it down).

I have the DC version (US) and my characters have different names, apparently (or there are special ships).

I use Ruby, and have 3.7 trillion, Stage 4. I'll look for the exact score later ;p In fact, I just got that score this morning...I'll lower the difficulty and try again ;p

I put it on level 2 and I got 8.2 trillion. My score didn't save though! so I don't have the rest of the digits.

BTW, I see what you guys were talking about the ships. I never saw the ship names before...just the characters....so I guess I am Carmine ;p

I have just recently been trying to find the method of getting the one up and it's tricky, I have had no luck even though i have been not killing the blue tank or even when i have been killing it. The 1-up seems pretty random but whenever i do get it i don't seem to get the bonus medalion's. I think either the 1-up has to bdo with how u dispatch the church earlier in the level or rthe order in with u destroy the cyrstals. Have any of u had any better luck with this bonus? :\

I guess I'll submit a score to re-order the lower end of the rankings ;)
