It is infact ALR/Gateway RAM. It's 133Mhz, too. The old 64 chip is 100hz.... but, like I said, the system did recognize the memory before stopping the boot process so I don't think it's incompatible.
I think this is just something I'll let the tech shitheads worry about.
Linksys is nice... I should get one if only for Port Triggering. D-Link is crap, I got it because it was cheap :/ I just open a DMZ through the default range (as you showed above).Quote:

On my Linksys, I'm using port triggering. This detects when your computer wants to send or someone's sending in something on a particular port or port range. It opens up the requested port for use by that program. The port range I use for AOL is 5190-5200.

Well... recognizing it and not crashing because of it are two different things... If your motherboard is 100 Mhz, then you should probably stick to 100 Mhz RAM. If that's the case, see if you can return the 133 Mhz RAM and find some 100 Mhz.Quote:

Yeah, that model router (41) is an extremely good value. Linksys is still adding features to the firmware, if you can believe that -- and the model is over a year old. Everyone should have one.Quote:

I SHALL have one then.... as soon as I get my Internet connection back (hurry your ass up Time Warner!). I need a new computer on top of that. Once I find a game that just won't run right or at all on my hardware (UT2K3) it's time to get a new one. I suppose that can get done this Sat.

ID-10t errors all over the place...
PC133 is thought by a lot of people to always be backwards compatible. It's not always compatible. :)
dog$, if you took the memory out, and you're still having videocard/monitor problems....you may try resetting the video card into the motherboard, perhaps you knocked it out accidentally.
I had a friend fry his motherboard the other day by putting in incompatible RAM, it freaking burned a hole in the memory. Hopefully it didn't fry your board.
