The SegaCD can kiss my ass.
That's the diffx I know and love.
As for TS2 on Xbox, the colors look fine on my RGB display, no washout whatsoever. Plus there's the advantage of saving your maps to the hard drive. The multiplayer frame rate is flawless, and the load times are quite reasonable.
Has anyone noticed slowdown in THPS4 on PS2 versus the XB and GC versions? Slowdown was a big problem in THPS3 on PS2 and figured largely in my decision not to buy it.
THPS4- If you want to play online, PS2. Otherwise, Xbox.
TS2- Xbox in every way.
Mortal Kombat 1- Sega CD
MK2- 32X
Trilogy- PSX
Lion King and EWJ- They were the same on both systems, SNES ver. were not better in anyway for either game.
Pu-Li-Ru-La (PS & Saturn)
*The PS version runs at a lower frame rate. Saturn wins given that everything else is identical between the two.
KOF'95 (PS & Saturn)
*The Saturn version looks generally identical to the Neo-Geo one. The PS version suffers animation cuts (your fighters on the sidelines don't animate, frames missing here & there, etc), lousy CPU opponents (even on level 8, they fight like CPU Dan from SFA1), and combos that shouldn't happen.
Winner- Saturn
Pac-Mania (X68000, Genesis, GBA)
X68000- Perfect all around.
Genesis- The graphics don't even attempt to resemble the arcade. BGM is damn close and features the full tracks.
GBA- Graphics are like the arcade, but the screen size is cut. The BGM tracks are shortened.
Winner- X68000
Final Fight (X68000, SNES, Sega CD)
X68000- Perfect as expected.
SNES- Only one player at a time. Guy is gone, and so is Rolento's whole stage.
Sega CD- Sharply reduced color palette, scratchy audio, and lag hell (you can not punch like mad as in the arcade one). The redbook soundtrack isn't bad.
Winner: X68000
Sunset Riders on SNES (over Genesis)
TobalRox,
the SegaCD version of Earthworn Jim sucks ass. There is loading in the middle of levels, like you're running, then all of a sudden: Loading. Why would you want this when you can play the cart fluidly, and not to mention the redbbok audio was too crisp, the coded BGM was much more fitting.

Yup, Rez was best on PS2. SSX Tricky... ummm...
Tricky has better textures on the Xbox but the frame rate is even more eradic than the PS2 one...thus I take stability/gameplay over slightly nicer textures...
dem fightn' werds...Quote:

If we can throw in any game...
Virtual On -
Saturn: Bad visuals, completely different gameplay.
PC: The PC Twinsticks aren't as easy to find, laggy netplay. Better visuals, better gameplay.
PC.
Snatcher -
Sega CD: English :). Voice acting, better visuals. Terrible ending.
PC Engine: See above, but ignore the "English" part.
MSX2/PC88: Not as bad of an ending? I hope so.
I wanna play through the MSX2 version.
GTA3 -
PS2: "Standard" game.
PC: High requirements, but mod-friendly, and has a WASD option.
PC wins this one, in my opinion.
