Why Best Buy is cool.

I stopped by the Besy Buy in Westbury, NY on Halloween night, after my girlfriend and I left the costume party we were at (I was Jason Voorhees, and she was a tornado- don't ask). I had heard that they were selling the Spiderman DVD at midnight and were doing some kind of promotion outside beforehand. We got there, and they had set up a giant movie screen outside in the parking lot against the side of the building, where they showed previews of various movies. There was a big crowd. After the showed the preview for Spiderman, Spiderman himself lowered down the side of the building! It turns out that this was the actual stuntman from the Spiderman movie, wearing the actual costume from the movie. Anyway, he lowered upside down, flipped to the ground, and ran inside Best Buy. Seems that you got to meet him when you bought your DVD. Anyway, the line was almost around the side of the building, so there was no way I was waiting on that (still, $14.99 for a 2-disc special edition? Best Buy rules. I got the movie the next day), but I did join the costume contest K-Rock (a NY radio station- that fag KC from the Howard Stern show was there) was having- but I lost to a guy in a g-string. :wtf:

I'm definitely getting the Spiderman DVD, I wish it didn't take as long to get here but all the extra stuff crammed in there is probably worth it. I was going to go to that costume contest thing but I was like 'nah'. KC is probably just doing it for the money as always seeing how the Stern show will stop airing in 3 more years ;_;

Yeah, Stern keeps saying how he's gone after his current contract is up...

Heheh, I do agree with Rich in that the SI mall has so much game availability you'd be hard pressed to NOT find a game unless it's Castlevania LOD or Guilty Gear....

Yeah, I'm gonna pick up the DVD, may go out and get the special gift pack edition.

Still, that's a pretty cool promo they held, Dolemite :)

i went to the best buy dolemite went to today and they were sold out of the collectors edition of spider-man. sucks since i had to pick up the normal copy, i simply hate having a lesser version if there's another packed with more shit.

I ended up seeing Spiderman 5 times in the theater, I'm sick of it now. Macy Gray ruined it.

Yeah, I was suprised they went to so much trouble. They don't do that with every DVD release...hmm...imangine they did? :)

Yeah, I was pissed that the collector's edition was sold out too.
