In regards to depth, level challenges and difficulty levels meant nothing to those of us who didn't care for GE and were on PC, because of the ever-lasting online multiplayer. Sure, I could go play a level over and over again, but why bother when I have thousands of thinking opponents willing to play some CTF? Yes, GE had multiplayer, but it was cramped with levels not very well made for multiple people and had a limit on four max. Which also meant you had a tiny screen (split-screen is the devil).
Innovation may not equal good, but the real difference of opinion here is highlighted in that second paragraph above. As a fan of GE, I think you missed the entire point of the gameplay experience if you feel like replaying the levels remotely compares to us fans of GE to endless multiplayer matches on PC.
