Can't you ask some random person to spot you? That's what I always do when I'm at the gym.Quote:

Or just put your knees in between the weights and yourself and roll that shit over to the ground while yelling ""ARRRRRR!".I've done that once or twice when I couldnt get douchebags to spot for me, Then I look at them like "WHAT" and /flex. Of course some gyms might kick you out for dropping weights too though...Quote:

It's just that if you fail bigtime coming up on a squat, and spin wrong or something due to your non-dominant leg giving out you can still miss the rack and fuck yourself up. I've seen guys at the gym roll bars off of their backs, and the bar doesn't just land square on the rack and stay there, it bounces, with potentially shitty consequences. I'll get over it though, cause I guess when I feel the failure coming on, I can slowly lower myself onto the safeties.Quote:

I fucked up and my work schedule destroyed my routine for the week, but after only one Max OT workout, my legs still are noticably bigger than they were 4 days ago. I am used to seeing some slight gains in relaxed muscle size every couple weeks, but DAMN! After one Max OT workout my legs have grown after the workout and just about stayed that size. I'm amazed. The max OT principle makes so much sense and even though I've only done 1 max OT workout, the gains are undeniable.Quote:
As far as I can tell, your best bet is to just get to know your limit. Once you feel it coming on, just save yourself the hassle and don't do that last rep.
Looks like you already have some bulk, just need to lose the fat surrounding those guns and you'll be looking good dawg!Quote:

Maybe you're either squatting wrong or setting the the safety bars wrong. When you squat, you are supposed to get low enough that your thighs become perpendicular to the ground. If you do any less you are only cheating yourself. Way too often I see guys doing tons of weight, but only getting at maybe a 45 degree angle. If they went all the way down, there is no way they could put up that much weight. Don't cheat yourself and do anything less.Quote:

Therefore, if you can't get a squat up, you drop it a few inches, and just get up. I hope this helps!
EDIT: Maybe I misunderstood you. Did you mean to say that on your failure rep, you couldn't even bring the weight down with control, thus you're afraid of dropping it to an angle while you're falling?? On second thought I don't think you meant that, because anybody could easily bring down twice the weight they normally lift with control.
EDIT AGAIN: I see now that you said coming up. I feel fucking stupid for writing all of that. Yes, that would suck to twist and fuck up.
EDIT THRICE: How about you don't roll the bar off of your back? Whenever I can't get the weight up I just slowly bring it down, while I think about how much I hate myself.
  :lol:Quote:

I'm still trying to get back into lifting again. It's been 3 months or so, so I'm just focussing on getting back into snuff before I start OT.Quote:
