Three incredibly lame deaths. Speaking of which, where is that extra life? I hear the SE when I hit 150 million, but I see no signs of another life tacked on. [No extra blue bar or anything..] What's the deal?

I usually get the extend about as soon as the straight shooters at the beginning of stage 2-1 show up. I've been getting it together to clear out the first level at around 120-130 million.

The deal is it's a fucking RIPOFF! You don't get no extend unless you die. That is bullshit and is the only thing I dislike about the PS2 version of the game. I sure would harp on that atrocious slowdown if I was playing the G-Net version.
