Wow... that was one something else. It was so tense and nerve-wracking. I don't really know what to say. These two teams were so even. Full credit to Ottawa for battling back so hard... they showed a lot.... but the Devils just got the final break when it counted.
Brodeur was MASSIVE. He was incredible.... without question the MVP of the series and of the playoff year (for the Devils). He cleaned up a lot of small mistakes by the Devils defence tonight. Stevens was a force tonight. He LED the team to victory. Friesen was CLUTCH! Wow, what a goal.. and what a great pass by Marshall. Langenbrunner is a GOD! ;) He's more clutch than clutch.. he's just amazing. Bicek was great for a guy making his playoff debut. He showed so much energy and speed. I really really hope he stays in the lineup. Rhéaume really stepped up after Nieuwendyk left the game...

Oh yeh, and if the Devils lost tonight Gomez would have had the longest summer of any Devils. I don't know if I should be happy that he finally got involved.... or if I should be annoyed that he BLEW so many golden chances..... Argh....
Ah well, who cares... the Devils won. Against all odds.. against all pree-season predictions.. the Devils are the Eastern Conference Champions. WOOHOO! :)
