Just won an auction for Actraiser 2, I have 1 already.
I cant say that I like the first one but the music still rocks, and the tiny bit I played of Actraiser 2 was good with the addition of wings and shield, the graphics was outstanding at that time.
So any fans of the series?
I'm looking for some more platform actions games for the snes, any tips, is Nosferatu good?
I loved Actraiser 1, but I wasn't big on number two. Without the Sim sequences I just didn't enjoy it very much. And Nosferatu is a great game if you're a fan of the Prince of Persia style.

Loved them both, orginal for its mix of action, and strategic management, and second had some beautiful levels, and cool monsters to fight with :)
Hell yeah! I'm a huge fan of both Actraisers. I think 2 is way better then 1. I wasn't a huge fan of the sim sequences of part 1 so part 2 had it all for me. It was hard as hell. The last boss is one of the most bad ass looking bosses in history and he takes forever to beat. I think I need to start playing that game again.

Yeah, it's fairly difficult, especially if you're trying to get the good ending. It's very cool though because it adds a more complex fighting system onto Prince of Persia style gameplay.Quote:

Act Raiser (first one) is on my all-time Top 10 Best list. Didn't play enough of the 2nd to warrant an opinion.
Great Yuzo tunes, and I loved the world-building parts between levels. If you like the way the action stages play, you might also enjoy Sony's Hook and Sky Blazer for the SNES.

My biggest problem with Actraiser 1 is that the controlls seems a bit slugish, and few moves. But the world building was pretty good, a little too easy though, if the population isnt big enough you just send an eartquake and the problem is solved.
The first one was awesome, a perfect blend of sim and action. The second one, I don't remember if I even played it. I'd love a true sequel to ActRaiser.
