Your favorite game worlds?

So what are your guys' favorite game worlds? Which one drew you in most, which one had the most bizarre or memorable areas, etc? Mine are:

Shenmue and Shenmue 2: Both equally wonderful (though I still hold a soft spot for good ol' Japan). They just both bring me in so well with the massive attention to detail, I can play time after time just going around and exploring and finding new details. The music is also some of the best in all of gaming imo.

Earthbound: Man, this game just knew me so well. Everything in it was just so bizarre and hilarious at the same time, and the music and environments were really memorable. I loved all of the little shops and quirks to everything, it was just great.

Well that's enough for now :)

Y's.....and to a lesser extent Lunar. and Raccoon City...where else can you not carry more than a key and 5 other small items at a time and have to unlock your house with emblems :)

Majora's Mask for the N64. I believe I said soemthing about it a couple months ago, but I have to bring it up again. The world was so involving to me (I preferred its darker tendencies over ZOoT), and you got a sense, both from talking to the NPC's and also looking at that strange grinning moon) that you're in a world nearing apocalypse. Creepy, yet very entertaining.

I loved Mario Sunshine's, Zelda OOT, Majoras Mask for the reasons Ranza stated, Eternal Darkness's and the Resident Evil remake on Cube.

I'll also add in Shenmue's, man it was so damn engrossing with all the detail and music.

Yoshi's Island- I love any world drawn in pastel crayons. Just remember not to eat fuzzy!

i love the mario universe. klonoa's is great as well. oh, and also skies of arcadia and phantasy star (pso in particular).

Panzer Dragoon, Skies of Arcadia, Legend of Mana, Earthworm Jim, Tales of Eternia, and Zelda 3 are all way up there, but I think The NEverhood wins the title.

While I felt a part of Shenmue's world, it is essentially just like the real world, so it's no so much that it intrigues me in that kind of way.

The ring world was really nice looking.. shame ol MC had to blow it all up.

Diablo's world was depressing :/ The only thing worse would be living in Neverwinter.

I wouldn't mind living in Vvardenfell... but then I might become some anti-elf bigot or something. I know one thing though. I would take up in a nice Dwarven Ruin and fix it up right nice.

Phantasy Star Online's world alwasys seemed rich and colorful and neat altogether so I would choose that too.

Tokyoto, Midgard, Granseal (in St Heim particuallrly) and Shining in the Darkness's world for good measure.
