She needs a hug.
And I would like to give her a hug...
Nice cover. :D
Have seen much better KoF art, so I this cover is sort've a let down...
Still, another DC KOF coming out, gotta be giddy about that...
I really like that cover. It is the sweetness.
Release date is...late December?
Somewhat strange cover for a fighting game.
Nice art though, and she looks sad.
She's sad because KoF 2k2 hasn't been announced for the DC...:(
Careful. She might turn you into a giant block of ice during the embrace.Quote:

And before you counter with "but she's so sweet", this is the same individual that dropped the Zero Cannon on Zero in KOF 2000.
Or because she lent her Marilyon Manson album to one of her friends at school, and now the only thing she has to do is listen to her other Cure albums and right bad poetry...Quote:

Don't you teach Female self defense to women so they can avoid such advances? ;)Quote:

The art is fine and all, if it was a KoF Dating Sim. Its good art, but says nothing about the Fact that KoF is a fighting game. Oh well. And I am really sick of the NESTS storyline, I am glad its over.
Yeah... the Cure is emo.Quote:

Fool.
Anyone who is gonna buy KoF on the DC knows damn well what kind of game it is.Quote:

Fool.
It's OK, 2000's cover was much better IMO. *-neo
How limited is this release gonna be?
I WANT! I MUST PROCURE! OBTAIN!
the title of the game itself kinda says what type of game it is.. :pQuote:

i'm glad they took the liberty of doing something a little different w/ the coverart..
Nice to see Playmore straying from the norm as of late... I really like the concept and layout, but the sketch looks a tad bit low-quality.
Nice overall.
Any reason to own the DC version over the AES version?
dunno.. it might encourage publishers to release a few more games on DC..
*prays for MS3
I dig the cover... it's pretty stylish. I didn't really like KoF2k's though.

agreed.. i like this one more than 2K's cover.
Too bad the artwork in the actual game is ABSOLUTE ASS. Seriously, KoF 2K1 has the worst character portrait artwork EVER.
Yes.Quote:

I like it, actually.
94-98 have REALLY bad Character Select art and winning quote art...it makes my eyes bleed. At least KOF2K1 is ACCEPTABLE to todays standards.
emo kids listen to the cure. not all of them, but many.Quote:

ok, maybe it was a bad joke but, I was bored in school and had acess to this board.
Last week SVGL replaced KOF2K2 with KOF2K1 for reasons unknown. It's back now but I actually took the time to play KOF2K1.
Ehhhhh =\ I'm back into KOF but the strikers system is still terrible. I'll probably pick it up and just always play with strikers off, like KOFEvolution.
Now if only May Lee could get on the cover of one of them =X
I don't care if the person buying the game knows its a Fighting game or not, I want to see some sort of Action going down. Yet not KoF game has ever really had any fighting on the cover, meh.
And here's hoping the game is fixed up a bit. I don't exactly like the thought of playing as Angel while my Kyo opponent repeatedly uses db +k, k. Talk about an easy infinite.
Yeah! Kick his ass, Seabass!!!Quote:

I like the cover art.
Ah... a damnsight better than PS2 KOF 2000's cover art. I think it's as good as the DC KOF 2000 box art myself.
yup, better than that PS2 cover...
i like it...
Like it too. Finally put in my preorder for this game. Always wanted it, but always putting it off. It's gonna be a KOF Xmas though so she should be wearing a santa hat. :)
That would make the fanboys have a fucking seizure.Quote:

You take that back! They had kickass art.Quote:

And yes, this is better than the PS2 2000 art, which looks like it was drawn by me. While drunk. With crayons.
Magic Box is saying the game will be released on Dec 26 with a survival mode, a puzzle mode, and that some stages from KOF 94-2000 will appear randomly in the game.
I love Survival modes, I don't know why in the world 2000 did not have one, it made me so freaking mad! I played the Survival Mode in Dream Match all the time, and was deeply sadded to see it absent in 2000. It would be a KoF Christmas if it came out one day sooner, shucks. None the less, me purchase, me enjoy. Even if the cover belongs on a Dating Sim.
And that's stopped who from what before?Quote:
I think that she may be underage, too.
Yeah, the AES version doesn't work in my DC.Quote:

Magicbox claims the KOF 2001 puzzle is a new one...hmm, new art or new puzzle game all together? *-neo
Hopefully completely new. Those 2000 puzzles were a bitch and three-quarters.Quote:

I'm sorry to be accepting this award live via satellite, but I'm currently filming a movie in Europe. I would like to thank the academy for this great honor, nonetheless.Quote:

The puzzles in 2000 were not that hard, but I enjoyed them quite a bit. I personally hope the puzzles are the same kinda deal, but from the sounds of it there arn't.
Here's an advertisement for the game from the latest Dorimaga. Used a digital camera to take this. Notice the puzzle mode looks like some whack version of puzzle fighter.
May as well turn this into the official thread for the game. The KOF2000 one turned out nicely.
Rather have a "wack version of Puzzle Fighter" than those puzzles in '00.
Ugh.
*Nice looking out for posting the ad btw!*
No worries. There's a nice article subtitled "Dreamcast comes to life again!?" in the same issue covering all the Dreamcast games still to come. Apparently Ikaruga sold 25,490 copies! Not bad at all.
I'm liking that puzzle title...
And I thought Ikaruga topped at 20,000, WOOO-HOOO, I hope companies keep the Naomi/Atomiswave goodness coming. *-neo

Dorimaga gives KOF 2001 for Dreamcast: 7,7,7
*-neo
That puzzle game looks neat-o-wicked! Other then the Puzzle Fighter-esque character attacks the actual game looks like that Side Scrolling puzzle game thats on the Super Scope 6 cart.
Gorgeous ad. It looks even sexier in a larger form like that.
wowow!!!!!!! This artwork is grand! I wish i had a poster of that ad! I think Kula looks very very cute.
The puzzle mode look sweet, but I have a feeling it'll be a bit harder to get used to then it should be thanks to that odd sideways view. And it reverses if you're playing from the other side...
From Famistu: KOF 2001 7,7,7,7
KOF 2000 for DC and PS2: 7,6,6,7
Everyone says 2001 is the weakest of the series so the better scores is for the added puzzle mode? *-neo
I still gotta reserve my copy...eek!
Doubtful. I don't think the puzzle mode is a significant enough addition for a reviewer to give a [key word] fighting game a higher score.Quote:

What do scores mean, anyway.
