Prime is spectacularly good, and if you think it has slow paced combat, you're flat out wrong. About half way through the game, it starts throwing some very fast, very nasty opponents at you. If you don't move and respond equally fast, you get tooled. And the bosses, oh sweet lord the bosses.
Part of the reason it starts out slow and maintains a fairly low intensity factor for the early part of the game is to get you acclimated to the controls, then it starts throwing more difficult stuff at you.
Ok, must go play more now :)
Who ever said there were no fast enemies? What I was complaining about is the fact that turning to face 180 degrees in the other direction can't be done quickly. It's like Samus is in wet cement up to her knees.
