Awesome thanks! I've been leaning towards Nintendo Power since they've always made some pretty sweet guides (their Super Metroid guide kicked ass) but I was open to other options. Now... to see if I can still pick one up somewhere...Quote:

Bumping this thread, hopefully I can get this question answered. Anyone buy the guide for MP? I wanna get one but I'm not sure which one to get.... the Prima one, Bradygames, or the official Nintendo Power one... nice layout/artwork is a definite plus... thanks.
Don't listen to anyone else. Get the Versus Books version. As soon as you see it, you'll know what I mean.
I take it all back!Quote:

Played alot more today and totally got used to the controls. I now understand why this control scheme was chosen.
And apparantly no more sickness (I had smoked prior to my first play so I'm thinking that had something to do with it).
With that being said, I'm really liking this game. :D
I just beat the game and...SPOILERS AHEAD!!!

Man, the ending sucked, and the last boss was hella easy, but goddamn what an amazing game. I think I'm gonna start over right now and play on hard. Only annoying thing about this game is that there are certain things to scan that if you miss them you can never get them again. I'm gonna get 100% this time around, though. Oh, yeah, and I was dissapointed there was no escape sequence at the end, but since there was one in the beginning, it's not a big deal.
I just like to add (again):
I've owned this game since release...and have yet to play it more than two or so hours.
And with that...
*flys out*
There's a versus books version of the guide? I haven't seen it at all...
Omnigear, all I have to say is ... enjoy! :D
Just to let you guys know... there's a game-rip soundtrack floating around the 'net. I've got it (just point me to a real OST and I'll buy it. No ultrap1r4t3h4><0r is me) and it's mighty fine. Anyone wants a song, just IM me.
yes it doesnt seem to bad either and it has a full guide for the original Metroid in it which is pretty damn coolQuote:

I've completed the game now and overall I liked the game but the utterly shit bosses (how anyone can claim the contrary is beyond me) and the ending was a fucking insult. Ridley and Omega Pirate were great boss fights though. Ironic that the platforming elements in Metroid Prime were better than Mario Sunshine as a whole, heh. The artifact retrievals surprised me by being highly enjoyable to collect when I usually hate such gameplay. I will buy a copy for my collection (I like to own a copy of every game that I bother to play through to completion) but I doubt I will return to it.
Good game, way overrated though. The last 25% of the game (final 3 bosses, artifacts, going back to collect items etc) was truly brilliant. 8/10.
Just read an ending FAQ (like hell am I scanning everything to get 100%), sounds like Phazon Ridley will be in Metroid Prime 2 ;P
