Well I'm up to the Chozo ruins so far. Beautiful game, it's every bit as good a transition from 2D to 3D as TOoT if not moreso. My jaw dropped when Ridley appeared on the station and then the scene where he is flying toward the planet with Samus's ship following was excellent. When you first land on Tallon and fight the wall creatures and look up into the rain it all just screams SUPER METROID. I love the sentient grass that hides when you shoot it. And all the things you can scan and facts to collect, this game is gonna have massive replay value.
I played for a few hours and thought the game was fun, but I wasn't "blown away". Then after a while away from the GC, everything came together and it made sense. The game was calling me like pookie in New Jack. I don't think I was supposed to hate a game as much as this, since I felt nintendo backstabbed me by turning one of my favorite series 1st person- but this game is extremely good.
Best buy got fusion in a day early, so I got both today
Someone one please pick my jaw off the floor. Wow is this game fun. So many cool little details in this game. I just got my third energy tank and just needed to take a break from all the metroid goodness.
Been playing for three hours straight. Can't stop. Only here because I needed to shower and knew if I didn't drop by during this break I wouldn't post on here until I beat Prime.
All I can say is that everyone needs to play this game. I don't care how, I don't care if you don't have a GC (buy one, borrow one, steal one if you have to), just get it somehow and play this game. It's not an immediate "Bow to me!" game, it's all in the details and just how solid it is. Walk through rooms with the scanner on, it'll tell you how rooms used to look, why the flora is growing certain ways or what's wrong with it, how enemies evolved, what everything means.

great stuff...i hadn't read much about it before (try not to get caught in the hype)...didn't know it was going to stick to the golden eye/perfect dark control type, but it works...hard...
