I tried out the original Shenmue on the DC. Feeding kittens just doesn't do it for me. Oh well, maybe I'll give it another shot sometime. Nice review though.

I've loved the Shenmue series so far, and I can't wait to get an Xbox so I can play Shenmue II. Great review, Andy.
Well, I must say I'm really pissed now. I've finished the game [DC]and if you've beaten it you know how it ends. If there's never a part 3 I shall forever be distraught. This series MUST continue. For the sake of Shenhua.:D

You think Yu Suzuki will do it regardless of Shenmue 2 sales on Xbox? It'd be a real shame to not get at least one more of these games. It feels like a third game may actually be the finale too, so here's hoping we see it.

Shenmue 2 on Xbox kicks ass. I just got Xbox and GC a few days ago, and one of the first games that I bought was S2. I'm only into the beginning so far(just past the part with the boring box lifting), but the sheer size and scope of the city is amazing. And the load times? Greatness.

But yes, Shenmue II does rule, and yes, there needs to be a third one after that ending. I don't know if Suzuki will get the go-ahead to do another one, but he should just keep threatening to go work for Sony until he does.
