I Love To Partake in ... GOOD DEALS!

Just got back from Office Max (aka the layer of the earth's crust right above hell) where I partook in a very good deal.

I needed some CD-Rs to transfer my program code to my friend's machine. I couldn't find any at Target, so I went to Office Max. I found my CD-Rs.

But that was not all!

I'm working on a computer game (hence the transferring of program code) and come publishing date (January 1st), we're going to need 100 CD-Rs and 100 cases for those CD-Rs. Well, I still need to buy the 100 CD-Rs but lo-and-behold, Office Max had a super deal where you could get packs of 50 cases for $10 at normal price, but instead, they had slashed the price to $5 and on top of that, each has a $5 rebate! Free cases! Game production costs hacked! Most excellent.

Good deals are fabulous. Any other stories of exciting finds?

Woah. That's some sweet dealage. Sadly I havent found anything even resembling a good deal lately.

I bought some cabinets... although you may have heard about that. :)

i recently bought a world atlas at work that was originally 60 bucks for 5 dollars! sweet deal!

I bought a 50 pack of CD-r's from Best Buy that was originally $22.99 with a $10 in store and $10 mail in rebate bringing the total cost down to $2.99.

I got a 50 pack of CDrs from CompUSA once. It was $5 with a $5 rebate! :)

Great CDrs too. They are 100% unmarked and plain looking. No ugly company logos or crap like that. :)

Well I got an A in global today thanks to Jimmy Carter. I knew the answers on a quiz because of his threads on Jimmy Carter. :D

Well....my sister bought a discount book at a Borders. The guy couldnt find the price, so he charged her .25 cents. Then she walked out with quite a few dollars more than she walked in with.

Yeah, the free after rebate stuff is nice, but I'm surprised your store still had some left this late in the week...

Sundays at my store are always full of people that have cartloads of free after rebate stuff, they leave nothing for the regular weekday shoppers.

Nothing wrong with the workers; some of the womenfolk at the local Office Max are quite alright. Just the store in general bothers me. It's like a Best Buy for office supplies.
