Does anyone else out there like this game? Sure the acting is bad, and the monster models are laughable, but I enjoyed it myself.
Anyone?

Dolemite summed it up in another thread (paraphrasing):
Quote:
Survival Horror is like pizza. Even when it's bad, it's still pretty decent.
I tried to like it, but after watching the intro and playing it for an hour and a half, I couldn't take it seriously and had to shut it off to maintain my sanity.
Heh. Classic quote on Dolemite's part. :)
I found Carrier to be fairly enjoyable. I remember I played it while waiting for Code Veronica to be released. I even played that little bonus game you got for beating it.
I thought the setting was pretty great. An isolated, mutant-infested ship. Very atmospheric.
I don't do survival horror, but for some reason, I keep going back to it. I know, though I don't plan on it, that I'll be purchasing a copy of Resedent Evil 0 within the weekend. Then I'll promptly be reminded why I don't do survival horror and return it for something I'll play.
That said, I kind dug Carrier. I liked the characters and the visuals. I ended up returning it because I don't do survival horror...but I'd buy it again on the cheap.
I don't quite know if I feel the same about the pizza-survival horror connection. I think of survival horror as being more like an artichoke - hard-to-eat, not filling, and kind of nasty.
Still, I like Jaleco ("Jaleco!")...don't really know if this game is any good.
Hey! Hold on now. It's fine that you say they're hard to eat and not filling...but nasty?! For shame! Artichokes are among the best vegetables ever!!! I would know...as I am their captain. ;)
Eh, they're not really my thing. Now, asparagus, that's a vegetable.
I like Asparagus as well! And cabbage and brussel sprouts! Yummy!
There was a planned PS2 version that was enhanced, but was canned.
Eh I played the DC game a bit, but I wasn't getting into it. Maybe someday?
