I don't think a game necessarily has to require a good amount of skill to be fun. Hell, look at most platformers. While they can be pretty tough, they don't require long hours of traning. Yet, they can be some of the most fun games to play. Why is this? Well, it could be level design, or the control, or it could be those little things in games that just make them fun.Quote:

Granted, I liked them all, but Metroid games have never been among the most thrilling titles I have played. Metroid is suppose to be about adventure and variety. I assume this title has that, but I don't have it yet. Thrilling doesn't seem to be a part of that mix.
Metroid has always had an excellent atmosphere. From what I've experienced both Prime and Fusion have excellent atmosphere. Another thing about the Metroid series taht I've always enjoyed was the exploration. This is the place that Fusion fails, IMHO. I haven't played enough of Prime to say whether the exploration is as good as the first three games, but from what I've heard it is.
