Blizzy are awesome. Don't get why so many people hate them. Good to see them returning to consoles again.
Anyone looking forward to that star craft action game?
Is Battlefield1942 coming out on XBOX?? If it is, thats big news to me!! It wouldn't be nearly as fun because of the lack of mouse/keyboard control. If microsoft would quit try to disguise itself as a pure-bred console and accept that people are always going to associate the name with PC's they'd make their system 20 times more viable, esp. when it comes to FPS's . I hope they do away with their current image and embrace keyboards. Battlefield would be wonderful for XBOX live!!!Quote:

I would like Starcraft Ghost more if it were a FPS - as a rule. FPS > 3rd Person IMO.
BF1942, to my knowledge is not yet announced though it would indeed be a perfect fit. What with Live and all. Add that to the fact that you have a limit to the amount of weapons you can carry and that it's a slower (as far as action and pace) game the Xbox pad would not be overwhelmed by this game in the least.
and Mech: Nothing - I mean NOTHING Bioware makes is bad. Nothing.

As regards Acclaim and 3DO, I go with Acclaim. They've lost huge amounts of money over the company's history, flushing over one quarter of a billion dollars down the toilet. They didn't earn any of that "success," they were given money by investors in private placements to keep the cash-destroyer alive. 3DO has gotten a lot of cash mainly from Trip Hawkins, though they've done some financing deals as well.
I have a (very) small amount of hope for 3DO with the new games they are releasing in 2003 - Jacked (Road Rash type game) and Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse look decent. They are spending more time developing games now, moving from 6-9 months towards 18 months, and those who've seen their upcoming games say there is much improvement. I'll give 3DO a pass for now.
I think the last time I was singing the praises of EA was back when I was playing Archon and SkyFox on the Apple IIE. :jest:Quote:
