Thanks for the recommendation. COTM looks like a damned good game...it addresses one of my major problems with SOTN and HOD - lack of difficulty. I'll admit to having picked up Harmony of Dissonance as my first GBA Castlevania purchase...I only did so because it's much easier to find here in Australia than Circle of the Moon. Once I find a cheap copy of COTM, it's mine. :)
