"Classics"? Oh dear...
Rent A Hero, Yay!
Dynamite Deka 2, Blue Stinger, Boo!
Illbleed, meh, could be ok, looked good on the DC.
Ports, ports, fucking ports. The fuel of the video game industry.
RENT A HERO- YAY
Dynamite Deka 2- eh, fun for $5
Illbleed- fun for $10
Blue Stinger- fun for all the wrong reasons
Rent a Hero better come out here...
*Awaits news of Japan-only release*
I'd kill for a U.S. release of RaH. I read so much cool stuff about the DC one.
I forgot about those Cool Net ports...
Either way, I am not too excited since I have a Dreamcast.... It'd be nice if they put a few games on a single disc or did something special.
They should port Saturn games too.. ahem, Panzer Dragoon Saga port = One new Xbox owner.
I would love it if they ported PD Saga. I've never played it myself, and with the way the thing sells on ebay, a port is the only chance I might have.
-Ozzie
That'd be great. They could actually sell well if they were put on one disc.
Yup. Even if Sega re-released the damn Saturn version they'd make some money... considering the price it goes for on eBay.
Why don't they make 5000 copies and sell them direct over the internet only? The game's already develope. It's free money. Sega, take it. Please. I want me some PDS!
Anybody who pays more than $5 for any of those is a stupidhead. Seriously.
Even RaH?
i'd pay $50 for a constant 60fps will full detail Sega Rally 2 on Xbox.
Supposedly Sega Rally 3 is coming out, and quite possibly for Xbox.
Swankitude.
I'd like to play RaH.
I bought the Japanese version of rent-a-hero for $10. I'd say a US version would be worth about that, but not much more, honestly. It's kind of funny and kind of fun, but it gets dull easily.
Funny, and fun. I'm sold.
If they package Blue Stinger and Illbleed together, call it the Hassy Collection, and package it with a cool Hassy can... I'd probably buy it all for $50.
"Creamcast". That alone makes me interested in RaH.
Besides RaH, I don't care for ANY of those. :(

Freeter, you ever play LOL? What did you think of it?
I imagine these titles are budget priced, after all full retail for a 3 year old medicore title on a system where it may see 3,000-4,000 sales is asking alot. Out of the gate I think Cool Net should have released a more recognizable title. *-neo
I thought this was more Sega vapor-ware. I am unimpressed in anycase.

Now if they put a playable version of Saturn Shenmue in this little endeavor, I'd be in heaven.
Haven't tried it. I just remember seeing it on some game site and liked the name.Quote:

Like Assault Suit Leynos (sp?)...

Hey, with 40-50 games they're sure to pick some gems...
Yeah.
Hm.
The other part of this announcement is that VF4 Evo is said to be PS2 bound Spring 03.
Hey look, a door...
Yup, I read that in the headlines section. Rad stuff.
Sold!Quote:

Yeah, me too. Even though I still... kinda... own Stinger and Illbleed...Quote:

*runs away*
RaH will own them all, regardless.
I own all of those as well, except Rent-A-Hero. I would also be interested in a U.S. port, but I doubt it. And yeah 40-50 there should be some great things in there I imagine. But if they are all just DC games on Xbox I am not as interested. But Sega seems to be real interested in showcasing their past games with this deal, and that whole 3D Ages thing. Just wish america would get this kind of treatment.
So... is this stuff gonna come out in the states?
Yeah, I sure am glad they didn't waste thier time porting Panzer Dragoon Saga, or Shining Force 3 (completed) or NiGHTS or anything because that would suck. I much perfer Illbleed and Brrew Stinga.
ºTracer
Perhaps Cool is paying a much smaller price for these... lesser hailed titles? Could be the reason behind their choices.
Err Rent-a-Hero... I shouldve gotten that for a great price but the retailer I ordered it from was so fux0red.
But Blue Stinger is great, especially with the sub-RE1 quality dub.
*uses this for more anti-Sega-is-all-about-originality tinder*
Wait...it's cool net so it's not exactly the same thing as Sega porting it, is it?
Anyway...kinda sad to see that new hardware is getting ports - I made enough complaints about PS2 versions of games getting tossed on all consoles, and this is the same thing.
Nay, Blue Stinger was terrible and I stand by that.

I can't wait for the Carrier, Time Stalkers and Sonic Shuffle rereleases. You know they're coming.
I can't wait for my Xbox rerelease of Spirt of Speed!
You know, now that you mentioned a western developed game, I have a feeling the gods of videogame irony are going to choose this as their excuse to finally release the DC version of Half-Life, in a context when it would finally somehow suck.
Heh... that would be worth happening. I would laaaaugh for sometime about it.
ºTracer
Dynamite Deka 2? :o *YAWN* ZZZZ... Just get the Dreamcast version used. This one's way too short to pay a new game price for when the DC version can be bought for nearly nothing.
Blue Stinger and Illbleed? Bleah. On the other hand, Rent-A-Hero might be okay.
Oh yeah...I'll add it to my Blue Stinger shrine which includes this poster (which graces my walls in excellent taste...popular with the ladies as well ;))Quote:

Now I'll need is an Hassy can and a Dogs Action Figure with pull string and I would be set
Funny, Rent-A-Hero and Blue Stinger are still sitting on my Dreamcast shelf, completely unplayed.
I am interested in an improved Illbleed port, since I never played the original.
Are these going to be $25 games or full-price? Full-price for Dynamite Cop and Blue Stinger? Ewwww.....
They'll probably be budget priced.
I'm getting Blue Stinger and RaH for sure...Quote:
In brighter news, this announcements brings with it confirmation that Sega won't just be porting over the titles, but will also be improving them. Rent-A-Hero, for instance, will feature a new battle system, new characters and 5.1 support. Illbleed also features new characters, with Blue Stinger (seeing how it's a PREMIUM cut and all) also featuring new characters and new scenarios.
RaH is a must-have. Illbleed was fun, and with IMPROVEMENTS, it will only be better.
Welcome back EThugg. I was wondering where you vanished off to!
