How does wanting to know sales figures make someone a fanboy? Hey, I want to know how a show did in the Nielson ratings, I guess that, due to my wanting to gain KNOWLEDGE, I'm a fanboy of that show.

I don't know if I agree with the fanboy part, but I do find sales figures people very interesting. I can't really figure out why anyone would really care all that much. :p
I don't care about them, I'm just interested in knowing them for factual information. Also, they're helpful in estimating whether or not a game might get a sequel or not.
You know full well who posted this. Right here, buddy.Quote:

I hope this clears some shit up.
You work for TRU? Wow, cool. I work for a battery company; and I can tell you all sorts of things. However, that's not the point, the point is - "sales is sales".
This was a thread about real TRU sales numbers on Black Friday week. You want to start talking bundles, fine. Xbox has two games bundled in with it, so don't play the "bundles bundles!" card.
As for nobody caring about sales numbers, why do these threads get so much attention, then? Obviously, because people care. I love to see sales numbers, market ratings, etc. I hate TV but I love reading Nielsen (sp) numbers. I read the weekly movie charts to see who is in the lead, I track rentals, etc. I like to keep informed and that is why I like to look at sales numbers.
These threads do, however, show us who the fanboys are. The pissy little kids who have to come in screaming "WHO CARES!!" or "DEMOGRAPHICS!!!" or "I WANT OTHER NUMBERS!!!" (okay, Al Gore). If you don't like the numbers, stay away. I'm a Nintendo fan and I have to deal with constant numbers against my system of choice, in general. More often than not, Nintendo is in third place. Do I go around screaming "WHO CARES!!!!" etc? No, I don't. I read the numbers and move on.
The truth is the truth; black is black and white is white. These are TRU sales numbers and if you have a problem with them, go to TRU and quit bothering people who enjoy reading them.
The Xbox bundle wasn't advertised in the ad though...Quote:

Indeed it wasn't, but it's in the stores.
Yea, but if a parent has chosen a system based on the ad, that means somewhere between 'shit' and 'dick'.
Shit? Dick? For a guy who calls people fudge packers...
Could you please save that "fanboy" shit for one of those idiot boards it belongs on? There's like, 5 people here who actually hold malice towards a particular system.Quote:
