I am just saying that what he said is wrong, todays average gamer I think is more of a 16-Bit generation rather then a PSOne Generation gamer, this is what I can gather from myself, friends, and just what I have found to be true from other gamers of the average gamer age.

True. My point is that the assumption that most gamers have started playing in the past five years is flawed and probably wrong.

I would guess most 12-year olds know quite well what a Genesis and Super Nintendo are. The 16-bit era wasn't that long ago.
