Sony attacks Nintendo (NES, SNES)

At the Playstation Party currently underway in Tokyo, Japan, Sony Computer Entertainment International's Vice President, Masatsuka Saeki, had some choice words for Nintendo.
According to Saeki, gamers today no longer remember the Famicom or Super Famicom (Nintendo Entertainment System and Super Nintendo, respectively); they are, in fact, the Playstation Generation, and have played nothing other than Sony's Playstation.
The Playstation Party is an event held annually by Sony to celebrate the "birthday" of its popular console. Currently, coming software like Arc the Lad: Seirei no Koukon, Final Fantasy X - 2, Dragon Ball Z Budokai, and a slew of other games are on display. We'll have continuing coverage of the event if anything else of "interest" emerges.

That is a load of :bs: indeed. Saeki's statement reeks of pure cockiness with an "Anyone still using SNES/NES can go fuck theirselves!" attitude.
What Kosh_H said is the truth... the PlayStation could easily have gone Jaguar as well. If they didn't get Namco in on PS1, things could have been rather different.
