Anyone else get a lot of weird wrong numbers?
We just got a new phone number and we get more wrong numbers than real phone calls. The other day I got some message from some guy saying he received some other guy's shoes!? Then, just now, I got a message for Alex (there is no Alex here) from some lady saying she "had a piece she would like to have fabricated".
WTF?
I get all sorts of crap. The funniest was a message on my answering machine from someone's boss telling him he had the day off on Monday. Sucks for him when he gets up early to go to work only to find out he doesn't have to be there!
Oh, and I get some messages in a foreign language. Apparently someone who spoke a language other than English had the same number that I currently have.

All the time, even at four am in the morning. People think my apartment is some sort of tech company or hospital.
I need to look into getting an unlisted number, but I'm sure it ain't cheap.
Our answering machine has a message already on there so if it just says leavea message. Well one day there was a message from this chick saying how she had a great time last night and stuff.Well needless to say, I had a lot of explaining to do to my mom.

At my old number...people kept calling for city hall o.O
My old number was one number off from a restaurant, so we got plenty of calls from people trying to place orders or reservations. Debated taking them anyway just to mess with people, but I decided that would be too mean. Especially since I wouldn't get to see their reaction anyway.
There used to be a school with a similar phone number as mine. We got about 10 calls a day from parents saying that there kids wouldn't be coming in. Quite fun.
My parents number I guess is very similar to someone elses and they gave out flyers or busnisses cards with a misprinted number so we keep getting phone calls for a specific couple... I think for a while we had the number on a post it on the wall by the phone because it happend so frequently...
