I hate the heat, personally. I don't mind moderately cool weather so much, but when summer rolls around I end up sweating like a pig in line at the slaughter barn. I also walk to work, and it's a 45 minute walk both ways, so, that also puts a damper on the situation in the summer. Living near 2 big lakes doesn't help much either. Lousy humidity.
I find that I can deal with the Southern California dry heat no problems, but when I went back this summer to visit family in Southern Illinois and St Louis, the heat there damn near killed me, the humitiy intensified the heat (well it felt like it to me) but I'd rather be in a cold place because I'd end up passing out before I died :D
I prefer being hot than cold, but if it came down to dying, I'd choose cold since you would just stop feeling it after a while and drift off to sleep.
For me hot is so much worse... sooo so sooo much worse. I loathe the summer so much. When I get too hot I lose my mind.... Plus it's sticky, smelly, disgusting, and uncomfortable. When you're cold you can just put on another sweater or jacket though.
Vive le froid!!!
Agreed. And at leat if you get too cold, you go all numb and the cold doesn't bother you anymore. :pQuote:

They both suck, warm is where it's at. But if I must choose, hot sucks more. You can always put more clothes on, but there's only so many you can take off.
Meh, I go with hot, because I don't like pants. T-shirt and shorts is where its at.
You can always get warmed, but you can't get cooler past a certain point.
i agree with you...Quote:

down with pants
:D
i'd rather be hot cuz i can always go sit in the air conditioned house or go to the pool, but the cold just sucks
You can always go to a heated pool or jacuzzi, or go into a heated house. Or wear some extra clothes, if desired.
hehe....cold gets rid or horniess, but i like the cold
I prefer the cold since you can always warm up, but you're too hot, you can't always cool down due to the limits of how much clothing one can remove.
Hot is worse. You can only take off so many clothes...with cold, you can just put on as many as you can hold.
Hah, wow, this poll is really close... =)
Heat is much worse.
me and heat don't agree.
Cold > Hot
How cold? -30 F? 30 F? Hard to choose really. Anything much above 80 I find uncomfortable. 60ish is perfect.
As said, it is easier to combat the cold than it is heat, though. Just bundle up... but the heat is relentless.
I’d rather freeze to death then burn up to death.
I'd rather have it cold.
Anything for all of you to keep your pants on;)
The results of this poll so far both surprise me and please me.
I hate anti-coldists. ;)
Hot. Much tougher to last through. El Nino and Santa Ana winds are proof.
They both suck, but I hate the cold. Sure, being in the heat with swamp ass sucks so much, but I can deal with it.
I love the heat and hate the cold. A lot of this is rooted in good memories of power outages in the summer and having to deal with the lack of air-conditioning or cheap television or sometimes light for that matter. 7-11 slurpees and beef jerky, drugs, and backyard hosings. Ah, good times indeed.
I've lived in CA all my life (well, except for being in AZ when I was too young to remember), so guess what I would take over what?
Besides, in the heat you can play basketball without your lungs feeling on fire from the cold air + warm body heat.
i like the cold - its easier to warm up than it is to cool down. I live in Houston, Texas so trust me, I know.
You can ski in some parts of CA, and surf in others. So I have no idea.Quote:

I live in Canada, and it's only four weeks away from january, the time of year when I start thinking that the flesh melting off my very bones wouldn't be such a bad thing.
when it's cold outside, chicks wanna come over more. i love the cold.
Hot is worse for me for all the reasons people have said. I love the cold too especially when theres.....SNOW!
Yeah, you can put more layers of clothing on, but after the fourth layer or so, you tend to not be able to move very well, like, AT ALL. So bring the heat. Being an active person would SUCK if you were constantly surrounded by cold.
Then again, seeing as this is a Video Game site, I can understand cold winning this one....... :p
It's freezing outside right now, and my window is wide open. I just love cold weather and I find it very refreshing.
I hate it when it is oppresively hot! I mean... hold on..
*answers the knocks on the door*
Chicks: "Hi, it's cold out here, could you let us in?"
Me: "Well, sure!"
Chicks: "It's not a problem is it?"
Me: "Well, I don't know where I'm going to get more fondu but I think I can handle it."
Chicks: "Oh thank you! Wow.. it's really hot in here... makes us want to take off our thick coats and sweaters and lingere."
Me: "Just toss them on the ottoman... wait... where the hell did you all come from?"
Chicks: "..."
*chicks vanish infrount of my face*
Damnit Rama.. you were wrong about the cold weather!
I'll still take the cold over heat any day.

also, nothing can beat the feeling of waking up on a cold morning and realizing that on that particular day you can sleep in, so you snuggle up in your blankets and doze off more. Sleeping sucks in summer time.
I'd just make the same argument - it's easier to get warmer than it is to get cooler. We are talking about the extreme ends of the weather scale, though, right - like below 20 and above 90?
ah...but 90+ temps don't phase me too bad. A bottle of water is all you need.
Not if your water evaporates before you can drink it!
Cold air smells so good. :)
I'd hate to agree with Rich, since....well, since it just wouldn't be right. But he's right, cold air smells good. Nothing beats waking up early in the morning, putting on nice warm coat and just walking outside while sucking in huge amounts of fresh, cool air.Quote:

I dunno, you can choose either emotion. It doesn't matter to me.Quote:

I like it hot. I'm used to the heat. Plus there's nothing better than just relaxing next to an electric fan with a cool beverage on a hot day or taking a nap with your window open in the afternoon.
Cold weather sucks balls
heat comes on everything dries out,
winter kills Bonsai.
This would be my post.Quote:

Its too cold where I live. I want it hotter, so I choose hot.
For extreme cold, I'm thinking anything that feels like freezing... which at times doesn't even have to be under 32 if the windchill is bad enough.
For extreme heat, I'm thinking anything that feels like it's over 90 (84 degrees in OH with high humidity can actually seem hotter than an AZ 90 degree day that feels like OH's 75.). My summer was just like this... we had New Orleans style humidity with that heat. I don't think Lake Erie helps matters too much in summer, let alone winter. (*cough* lake effect snow)
By the way, my favorite temp range would be 60-85 degrees.

Yeah i would rather be cold then hot. You can always add clothing when your cold, but theres only so much you can take off when your hot.
I like about 55-70, which is a good temperature to play any of the sports I like to play.
even if you take it all off, it's still HOT!
hahah - its freezing like hell outside - AND I LOVE IT! Of course, with my luck living in this cursed city (Houston) - tommorow will be a nice and pleasant 99 degrees with 100% humidity! Argh....like having a giant toungue lick you every time you walk outside!
COLD is BAD. I hate cold weather. I can tolerate heat just fine, but prefer dry heat, to the moist one we have here.
Well, Iowa gets both extremes so I've adapted pretty well to heat and cold. Plus I work part-time at a freezer plant and get to enjoy 15-20 temps for eight hours at a time.
Guess I'll pick heat. *-neo
I dislike cold weather mostly because it goes together with sickness. Plus I have mild artherites and it makes my 20 year old knees and elbows ache.
Cold, definitely. Because I don't "get cold" like most people do. I can be fine with just a t-shirt in 30-degree weather. Seriously.
I dunno, my normal body temperature is 2 or 3 degrees lower than the average. Maybe that has something to do with it.
I'm extremely hot natured. I sleep with the thermostat on 68 during the Summer and like it as cool as possible.
Yep, cold is where it's at. :)
Heh - your avatar depicts that very well.
Cold all the way, having lived in Texas all my life, I've gotten used to the scorching summers. Plus, as the temperature gauge rises, women wear less and less clothing, and there's a very high number of good-looking ladies down here :D
Also, during the winter, my hands become really dried, cracked, and itchy, and nomatter how much lotion or moisturizer I put on them, it only temporarily alleviates the problem, which doesn't go away until the weather gets warm and stays that way. It's irritating to no end.
Gah you live in Dallas and you get dry heat mostly... us in SE TX are dying from the heat and I've been here for 22 goddamned pittiless years. Hot isn't bad - its when the air practically licks you when you go outside because it's so wet AND hot.Quote:

I hate the cold. I'm definitely a warm weather person.
I especially like dry heat... hell, I'm one of these bizarre people who like sitting in the car after it's been in the sun for awhile :D
I prefer it cold. Just recently here in Australia we had crazy heat. I was in front of the air conditioner using ice to make cold air and I was like "the air conditioner, it does nothing".
Cold is worse. I didn't move south by accident when I graduated from college.
CHICAGO! DAINNGGGG!!!! BOTH EXTREME WEATHERS.
"so cold, so very very cold".
Uh..well I guess being cold with no way to get warm is worse...

I'm used to it being hot..I guess.
I hate hot weather. As soon as Im done with school Im moving somewhere that it can be cold atleast part or the year.
Z-roe
Cold...
You took the words right out of my mouth. I hate being sweaty and sticky unless I'm playing DDR or I'm at the Gym.Quote:

Hot... so moist and nice. I'm so moving to BC when I'm done here. I can't stand always having to wear so much when I'm outside.I hate gloves and touques. I can't stand freezing. I'd rather be boiling than freezing any day. Plus, the air smells nicer when it's moist. I hate running noses.
It's easier to gear up for cold than heat, I mean you can only take off so much of your clothes
Where exactly do you live?
