Well, As I wrote before, if you enjoy independant and art house cinema and trign to broaden your horizons, good for you then. I can watch an odd drama once in a while too, and NO, I dont hate those genres, nor I biased against them, but watching only those and claim that rest of genres are not worthy is silly. I'm sorry that you didnt like EQ, and it all seemed as you said "lame, overblown, and cheesy". Its YOUR opionion and YOU entitled to it. Never in this thread I claimed that you guys WERE WRONG. Instead all I got got was that its me who is WRONG for liking this film. If you dont like my writing about it dont read it, it simple as that.
I didnt say that all art house lovers are snobs, but I seen a fair share of those who do tend to look down on people who like something they personally think is a lowbrow or mainstream.
Well... I never said you were wrong for liking it, I said you were wrong in that you automatically slagged reviewers for calling it something it's not... most definitely did not call it a poor Matrix clone, and most definitely did not say it had too much action that weighed down the drama (many thought the "drama" was horrible and amateurish, actually). So there goes your points. Most didnt like it because they thought the storyline sucked, and they thought the action sequences were lousy and didnt make the movie any better. Sounds like fair criticism to me. You called it "unjust". Whatever.
