Chrono Trigger!

Anyone else have fond memories of this game? :)

Personally, I'm eagerly awaiting my copy of Final Fantasy Chronicles for PSone largely to relive this game, it was definitely one of my favs for SNES, and that system had so many classic RPGs. To me, even the really enjoyable fighting system took a backseet for the atmosphere of the game, some of the scenes were just wonderful, from the modern time and the Millenia Parade, all of the special moments in the Medival time with Magus and Frog, the depressing but heartwarming future time. The music was also really wonderful imo, and provided a large part of the atmosphere in whole.

Putting a PS logo next to Chrono Trigger is so wrong...

Why, does it make the game feel bad? Get a life Yoshi :)

Thank you. The completely unrelated ChuChu Rocket mouse is clearly a better choice than the PS logo. :D

Chrono Trigger rocks; one of the best RPGs ever. However, the PS version sucked. Load times and emotionless cut scenes replacing awesome in-game sequences.

I didn't think it replaced them, I thought it had both?

Maybe I'm rusty, maybe it had both.

In any case, the anime cutscenes killed it for me. They were nothing short of worthless. The game was already perfect, it didn't need this.

I've never finished the psone version, but I'm sure we would of heard from the legions of CT fans before now if they had replaced original scenes in the game.
