Here is how I would rate my overall feeling of satisfaction/value for each of them (I own all 3)
PS2 - 6
I mostly use it as a DVD player, if the same version of the game is availble on DC or XBox, I'd rather not play it on PS2 (hate the slow loading/saving times).
GC - 8
A pretty good lineup of games so far, like Wave Race and Bomberman Generations. Overall the fastest loading and the best controllers.
XBox - 5
Still waiting for Panzer Orta and DOA:XBV....and some XBox Live RPGs...
PS2- Best damn DVD player I've ever used. Oh, and some of the games on it are good too.
GC- 10/10- Only had it for six months and I've already had more fun with it in that time than I have in over 2 years of owning a PS2
Xbox- can't say. Although I've had more fun playing the kiosks and borrowing the system from friends than I have playing most PS2 games.
I'd have to say I'm happy with my PS2, even though my list of games is miniscule. As it consists of VF4, SSX Tricky, FFX, Dynasty Warriors 3, The Summoner (I haven't even played 1 hour into that game.) and GGX which I believe I left at my Grandparents house in North Carolina. Oh I forgot Kingdom Hearts, silly me I do have to say I am rather fond of that game. I look forward to KH2... KH doesn't go well...
Though if I had an XBox, I too would be looking forward to XBox Live RPGs with great anticipation.
I'm happy with my PS2. It has the games I want to play, and that's what matters. One of these days I'll have to pick a cube up and play some of the games I missed over the past year, but until I actually have money to piss away on one, well, I'm happy with the PS2.
Xbox: Well, I like Splinter Cell and Mech Assault, judging by rentals, but I only have JSRF, GV, and Crazy Taxi 3. Good, but not quite as good as I would have hoped. If I had broadband, I'd be pretty satisfied.
7/10, if you need a numerical score.
Ask me again in a week, and the PS2 will have high marks. Ask me again in a month, and they'll be even higher. :)
I'm pleased with all three but the system I use the most is the box. Best DVD player period. Game wise, I'm cool with all three, with the GC trailing a bit.
I am more than satisfied with my PS2, not so much with my GameCube.
My PC serves me well, though it's time for a new one :/
Xbox is good. I like it, I only have Steel Battalion now. I decided it was not worth my time to collect games. I'll have SB on sale in a matter of months.
Other than that, I have a Saturn and Genesis and they're holding up pretty good too. I might look in to getting a Dreamcast again... something to play Rez and Chu Chu Rocket on would be nice.. though I think someone should port Chu Chu to PC so I can still play it online.
