How can Sega keep making games in this series? Both Jet Set entries have been noticeable, big failures, and, if this is true, they're going to try making another one?
If this rumor does pan out, then it will be the first of Microsoft's "exclusive" Sega games to turn up on another system.
I'm banking on Orta being 6-10 months behind...
Almaci, be sure to ask Smilebit about the future possiblility of Orta turning up on PS2 and Gamecube. :)
The Xbox was completely the wrong choice for JSRF. MS's targetted userbase and JSRF's had a very small area of overlap, basically the own-every-system gamers.Quote:

Considering JSRF IS JSR2 and the constant nonsense rumours regarding a JSRF port to PS2, I am extremely sceptical. I would be very happy if this turns out true (can't get enough JSR) but the 'canceled Jet Set Radio 2' part of the rumour kills all credibility.

Not even Killer 7? I mean an assasin who is a guy in a wheel chair with 7 different personalities going up against a guy that makes people into insane killers isn't enough to get you interested in the game?
Yeh, that's what I said ;)..... but you do bring up another good point which is the JSRF->PS2 rumours. They could have something to do with this. Perhaps Sega is working on porting JSRF.. maybe to PS2 or maybe to PS2 and GCN.Quote:

This rumour is obviously very suspect since it does not even have the facts straight, but I suppose it could be based on some small nugget of truth which was misunderstood somewhere along the line. Oh, and I went to Games_are_fun and saw their source and it was just some random Gamecube fan site though so.. who the hell knows. Seems super dodgy to me.
More JSR the better though! I really hope this is true. :)
ps. Is it fair to actually call JSR/JSRF "failures"? I know they did not meet expectations but they were not failures either I don't think. They did "ok". Maybe someone with facts and figures could clarify this.

I don't think that JSRF was ever officially "exclusive" actually. Most of the other Xbox exclusive games had "Only for Xbox" in their advertising campaigns and JSRF never did for one reason or another.Quote:

The reason I noticed this was because JSR is one of my favourite games and I am Xboxless so I have been hoping for a port for ages, so I can put off dropping the money on an Xbox. Anyway, this might be insignificant but it is something I noticed.
Anyway, maybe is JSRF is getting ported they will make some modifications and listen to people's complaints and modify it to make it more like the first game? I doubt it but it would be cool if they made more than just a straight port. :)
