PSO Episode I&II Xbox Details

I always like what MOde7 said a long time ago, it applies well to Xbox: The proof is in the pudding. There's will do and there's is done. As time goes on more and more goes from will to is and at an astonishing rate. Much more quickly than anyone else (I find it interesting to not that Gamecube - a system with such fickle online support - went online quicker than the system that was supposed to be the 'broadband gate way in the living room' PS2).

Xbox is worthwhile to many and the reasons are all present, and even more are piling on. By Janurary's end, there will be downloaded content to Mechassault, more online titles, Panzer, DOAVB, Ninja Gaiden and KOTOR. In Janurary. It only gets better over time and it's pretty damned good now.. that is of course.. to those who like what is offered. If you don't so be it. Give it time and one day it will (given the rate in which things are comnig to pass). But I see no reason so call Xbox owners and subscribers to Live 'suckers' because clearly (look at the Online gaming board) people are pleased with most of what they have gotten from XBL. I also don't see why anyone has to say "I can't see why you people like it" when there's more than enough say-so and reason presented here and before-hand. It's not that you don't see it Yoshi. It's that you just want to say that to make Xbox look like some really shitty conflagration of PC parts that'll only run "shitty American games".

You have me there. While my intentions were simply educational in the other thread, I couldn't hel but take a shot at a fee-based PSO on top of XBL. I'll be on my way, since I repsect your opinions and your right to browse in peace.

All of these should have been in the original release - or, at the VERY least, Version 2. If I was part of Sonic Team, I would be downright embarassed to release an online RPG where you can't even pick which sex you want to use for every class.

IMO, keyboard and voice support, 5.1 sound, HDD saves, and secure servers (I don't trust Sega's worth a damn) make the Xbox version of PSO the one for me. If I have to pay a few bucks for some downloads, that's cool. A monthly fee would be a bitch but I guess I'd do it. I really want to play the game.

I just don't want everyone and his brother charging, that's all. There would be no justification for XBL if you had to pay for online play with games not made by MS. I thought part of the idea of this central online gaming service was to bypass that.

Great site. I really love all that PSO artwork... I have not played any version of PSO yet (I hope to one day... eventually) but I have long admired the game and especially the great art associated with it. :)

You can get PSO v1 DC for like five dollars now. It's fun for a little while offline, even if online is its main strength.

Yeh, I have been meaning to pick up a cheap copy just to play around with. ;) Too bad that one didn't have split screen.. ah well..

I've not played PSO yet because during the great original DC PSO craze I was stuck on a horrible horrible internet connection that was DC-unfriendly and I was really busy too.. so I missed out and I was pretty disappointed because I think I would have loved it.. Still do....

And now I don't have an Xbox of GCN (yet) so... I'll have to keep waiting and hoping that the timing will be right for me at some point.

Errr.. I'd probably get too addicted anyway.. :p

I'm going to avoid PSO like the plague. It doesn't look like something I'd be into in the first place... but my real fear is inadvertantly getting addicted to it :D
